I love people’s stories. Here’s mine, so you can better understand why I’d love to help you.
I have 20+ years of experience in the nonprofit world and I am formally trained in leadership, program and board management, strategic planning, facilitation and mentoring; have written over a hundred successful grants, launched new initiatives, promoted and hosted hundreds of events.
I have intimate knowledge of both sides of the art coin. I understand what it’s like to be an artist and what it’s like to be on a grant panel; I have lived through the sweat that goes into brainstorming seemingly impossible solutions with dire resources in a poor economic climate; I know what it’s like to build a cohesive team, celebrate the successes and then lead them through change management because eventually, things change; I can evaluate and oversee programs and find synchronicity for a more efficient workflow.
I adore boosting people for success, getting them to trust calculated risks and embrace learning. I can respect smart disagreements, and even silly ones (especially when they end in laughter). I mean business. I deeply appreciate and applaud the “unsexy” work aspect of work, because that is where the magic begins, making everything else possible. In other words, I “get it.”
